Annual Day Experience

I am in 9th standard right now at DAV Public School, my annual day was on 14 december 2024 it was a great experience today i am going to tell you how i ended up there and what was the reason behind it

So around the start of december my friend was going for a audition for the play ‘MACBETH’ he asked if ill come with him or not i said no and was got back to work at school it was 7th period if i remember correctly the next day he insisted that i should also come and its a great way to skip classes but still i was not sure if i should go and give audition the 1st period started, i was thinking about what my friend said and i thought i should try giving the audition maybe they give me a small role, i asked my another friend to come with me and then in the 2nd period we went to the 2nd Multimedia Lab where the audition and practice was going, both of us were nervous then we entered the lab the first i saw was seniors acting then i looked for my friend who was siting in the left corner at the back then my friend told one of the teachers we are here for audition and she simply said go and sit in the back as it was normal i had thought we had to give audition in front of everyone right away it was a relief for me, then we sat together and was discussing about the play. Then after half an hour the first time teacher noticed me was because of my friend who was talking and teacher told us to keep quiet soon after she called my friend and told another teacher that i am making him nobleman then she said children who were here to give audition please stand up, then i stood up she looked at me then at another child then again at me, she called me and gave me a paper and told me to read it first she said i am fleance (a character of the play) i was happy but then a girl said ‘ma’am lets make him murderer (another character of the play) then she gave me another page and told me to read, after i did my part she said i did very well later on when i sat with my friend he told i am one of the main characters of the play then i got nervous because i knew my lines would be a lot still i played my character after 2-3 days everything was going good we moved from mml2 (multimedia lab 2) to mml1 (multimedia lab 1) i saw another teacher there, she teaches senior classes she told us to start the play i still had script in my hand my turn came she corrected me in less than 5 seconds i dont wanna tell you guys what happened that day i was scolded by her so much that day i thought ill quit the play anyways days passed that specific teacher was on leave beacuse of her health i was happy and around 10 december we started our practice in auditorium, there i was scolded many times but still it was all fun forgot to mention i was not the only one who was getting scolded, nearly everyone had the same condition as me then the judgment day came…..

14 december

we were told to report by 12o clock even tho the annual function will start at 5o clock that day so good i cant tell you, we were having so much fun all of us, we recorded eachother while they were having makeup and all then around 7o clock our play started i was nervous we were seeing everything from the screen installed for the participants then my time came i was nervous but i knew i can do it then it was time to go to the stage i wore my mic, turned it on and went on, i was so nervous but i did everything correctly, my part ended very quickly because maybe i was speaking a little too fast anyways it was such a great experience now teachers know me haha i got to know so many people especially senior students and teachers later on we were called the next day and was told we did great yayyyyy i still think i did very bad that day but the i think the thing that matters was that i didn’t quit if, and this how my annual day went and what was the reason behind joining it.
